Can AI really help personalize cancer treatment?
This fireside chat will explore the ambitions of the National AI Initiative for Precision Oncology (NAIPO), a four-year national effort bringing together AI researchers, clinicians and industry across Switzerland.
Join Elise Cahard, from the EPFL AI Center and Lukas Klein, researcher in AI and personalized medicine at USZ while they discuss how AI models can bring together complex information—from clinical records and medical imaging to molecular and multi-omics data—to support doctors in understanding each patient’s cancer and identifying the most appropriate treatment. It will also explore what it takes to move these technologies from research into clinical practice, while keeping patients, trust and data protection at the heart of the process.
