EPFL’s Deepfake Booth
EPFL’s Deepfake Booth invites visitors to witness how generative adversarial networks can fabricate persuasive audiovisual content from a single photo.
After a quick portrait capture, visitors step into a darkened cabin where a one-minute primer outlines social and political risks associated with synthetic media.
The installation’s goal is literacy rather than spectacle, underscoring that trust must be earned, not assumed. The platform does not have the intention to showcase state-of-the-art deepfake generation, but rather serves as an educational sandbox with basic ressources, accessible to most.
Step in, see for yourself, join the conversation.
